Lions Foundation of Canada invites you to become an active supporter and participant in this hands-on humanitarian service.
Foster Puppy Program
Lions Foundation of Canada receives dogs as puppies for its Dog Guide programs from its own breeding program, and from generous breeders. At eight weeks of age, puppies are placed in foster homes for approximately one year.Training
The foster family is asked to raise the pup, socialize and teach proper house manners and basic obedience, while exposing the pup to as many different situations, experiences and people as possible.
Puppy training manuals and staff support are provided to the foster family as a guide for the proper development of the puppy.
